Should we compete?

                 In most societies, competition generally has more of negative than positive effect. Competition brings people to think pragmatically and opportunistically. People do not care about the society’s interest but their individual interest in order to win the competition or doing something only if it has benefit for them. Furthermore, Competition creates people to be egoistic where people only pay attention to their body but far from
humanitarian. Competition is identically related to fighting and competes and do not consider whether it is fair or unfair.  The competitors, in most societies, ignore the value of fairness in competition.

                The aim of competition is to reach the ambition of competitors and to race each other in order to beat the rival who appalling the way. In competition, People used to bring down and humiliate among them because competitors believe, that each person surround them is their enemy. It means competition makes people paranoid also because they always keep afraid about the people around them. In addition, this kind of competition is not only harming in societies but also for the individual of competitors.

                The purpose of competition should give various motivations for competitors. In political parties, for instance, the candidates of leader will do anything to get the position. Sometimes the candidates humiliate among them and rather frequently do black campaign in order to bring down others candidates because the orientation of competition is position.  By considering this matter, of course, there will be unfair result of the competition; such competition is far from wisdom, justice and fair.

                Another example would best explain about the competition of modern state in the world, such as United States, Russia, and others in Europe and America continent. Each nation competes to be the best nation in the world, without thinking about the effect to the social life in societies and the effect of nature in the world.  For example, United States develops the nuclear energy and so does Russia. Sometimes these two countries carry out the damage to the nature by doing trial run of nuclear in the deep of sea. It means this competition affect a negative effect in societies who live in nature.

                In other hand, Competition determines the successful of person or group of person in societies. Competition will motivate someone to compete with others but in quotes of positive term, such as competing for the first rank in classroom or competing for scholarship. People, occasionally, have more spirit and positive thinking due to competition. By racing in competition, people know how to use fair strategy and permitted way of surviving for win. In short, competition teaches many sides of somebody if he or she realizes the fair competition but unfair competition will bring damage if only the unfair competition realizes.
